Trade with 100 countries totals $54b in first half of year

Iran’s trade with more than 100 countries reached $54 billion in the first half of the current calendar year (began on March 21), Tasnim news agency reported on Monday.
Non-oil exports totaled $25.94 billion, covering 75 million tons of goods, while imports stood at $28.3 billion, amounting to 19 million tons, the report said.
Exports by volume grew 6% compared with the same period last year, while imports rose 2% in volume. In terms of value, however, imports fell 15%.
The figures highlight both growth in physical trade flows and a decline in the monetary value of imports during the six-month period, underscoring the scale of Iran’s commercial ties across more than 100 countries.
