Iran, Indonesia ink agreement for academic collaboration

The State Islamic Institute of Kerinci in Indonesia and the Iranian Embassy in Jakarta signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote scientific and academic cooperation. The MoU was signed by the rector of the Indonesian institute H. Asa’ari, and Mohammadreza Ebrahimi, the cultural attaché of Iran in Indonesia, IRNA wrote.
In an online ceremony, Asa’ari highlighted Iran’s advancements in the scientific and cultural fields since the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
He expressed a keen interest in expanding scientific and university collaborations, particularly in cultural exchanges, between Iran and Indonesia.
Ebrahimi, the cultural attaché, addressed global developments in the Islamic world, emphasizing the need for a unified voice condemning the inhumane actions of the Zionists, especially in Gaza.
He called on the Islamic world to denounce the atrocities committed by Israel.
Ebrahimi explained that cultural collaboration between Iran and Indonesia involves establishing an Iran room in Indonesian universities. He added that these rooms, managed by university deans, will host various programs including conferences, seminars, exhibitions, and presentations about contemporary Iran.
