CAO says ready to cooperate with investors for importing small aircraft

The head of the Civil Aviation Organization of Iran expressed the organization’s readiness to facilitate the import of small, under 19-seat aircraft by introducing investors possessing necessary bank guarantees.
"While the country's aviation industry faces challenges such as sanctions, fleet aging, and concentration on conventional urban flights, the development of small fleets as an operational and forward-looking solution have drawn increasing attention from the Civil Aviation Organization,” Hossein Pourfarzaneh told ISNA.
According the Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development, “This initiative not only addresses air transport needs in remote and underprivileged areas but also charts a new horizon for regional balance and expanded air service coverage, and will stimulate economic prosperity in remote regions of the country."
"Small fleets could serve as the missing link between national development and equitable access to air transport infrastructure. Given our country's strategic 3,500-kilometer coastal potential, supporting real and legal investors in introducing small-capacity fleets would enable port-to-port and terminal-to-terminal routes in coastal and maritime areas. This will revitalize local economies in these regions." he said.
