Minister: 580 firms at ‘Iran Health’ signal medical sector growth

18 healthcare products unveiled

Iranian Minister of Health and Medical Education Mohammadreza Zafarqandi stated that the presence of 580 companies at the 26th International Iran Health Exhibition demonstrates the growth and capability of the country's medical equipment industry.
The 26th Iran Health International Exhibition opened on Sunday at the Tehran Permanent International Fairgrounds, where 18 innovative and knowledge-based healthcare products were unveiled in the presence of the vice president for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy, ISNA reported.
The four-day exhibition is underway with extensive participation from domestic and foreign companies.
Addressing reporters on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the 26th international exhibition of medical, dental, pharmaceutical, and laboratory equipment, Zafarqandi highlighted the significance of company participation.
"The attendance of this number of companies at the exhibition is highly valuable and indicative of the growth, progress, and capability of Iran’s medical equipment industry and healthcare sector."
The health minister emphasized, "Quality assessment and licensing for medical products are serious and unavoidable principles for safeguarding public health."
On the sidelines of this international exhibition, 18 healthcare products were unveiled in the presence of the health minister, Vice President for Science and Technology Hossein Farshin, and Head of the Food and Drug Administration Mehdi Pir Salehi.
The unveiled products include essential devices for modern hematology laboratories, kits, analyzer devices, gel cards for blood group determination, several types of hearing aids, multifocal lenses, plasma wound therapy devices, intracorporeal Holmium laser lithotripters, SPECT devices with optimized imaging, extracorporeal lithotripsy coils, electroporation devices, composites, anti-sensitivity and anti-decay paste, and oxygenator tube sets.
