Iran-China exhibition opens ’new horizon’ for cultural relations: Minister

Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Abbas Salehi, has hailed the Iran-China exhibition ‘Endless Clouds of Silk Road’ as a “new horizon” for cultural relations between the two countries.
Salehi made the remarks during his visit to the exhibition on Sunday, November 10, IRNA reported.
“This exhibition has provided a new horizon for the realization of cultural memoranda between Iran and China, which can definitely draw new perspectives in the vast relations between the two countries,” Salehi said.
The exhibition, which showcases a collection of artworks from the Shanghai Museum of Collectible Arts and the Malek National Library and Museum, has been extended until December 5.
Salehi described the exhibition as “valuable” and praised the organizers for bringing together the cultural heritage of the two countries.
The minister noted that the exhibition has created an opportunity for the cultural heritage of the two countries to connect, highlighting the rich history of civilization in both Iran and China. “This exhibition has brought together the cultural heritage of two countries with ancient civilizations, creating a platform for the realization of cultural memoranda between Iran and China,” he said.
Salehi also praised the artworks on display, particularly those by Chinese artist Xiao Guo Hui, which depict life on the Silk Road. “These valuable paintings are not only interesting in terms of subject matter and content, but also in terms of form,” he said.
The exhibition also features artifacts from the Malek National Library and Museum’s collection related to China’s cultural heritage.
Salehi noted that this highlights the importance of the library and museum in promoting cultural diplomacy.
The one-month exhibition which was supposed to end on November 10, has been extended until December 5, providing a unique opportunity for art lovers and cultural enthusiasts to explore the rich heritage of Iran and China.
