Iran’s ‘And Next Year, When Spring’ to compete at Italy’s Giffoni festival
Directed by Mehdi Boroumand and Saeid Asadi, the film will be presented in the Parental Experience section (Short Shorts) of the festival, which focuses on showcasing films for children and youth, ISNA wrote.
Written by Sahar Sotoudeh and produced by Ashkan Ashkani and Bahar Moridi, the film stars Shaghayegh Mokhtari, Yazdan Poursoleimani, Zeinab Mokhtarzadeh, Hamid Hadi, Hassan Adhami, Samaneh Yousefi, and Farid Adhami.
‘And Next Year, When Spring’ will compete for the Gryphon Award of the Italian festival, which runs from July 19 to 28 in Salerno.
The Giffoni Film Festival is one of the largest and most significant festivals dedicated to children’s and youth cinema in the world.
The film adds to the growing list of Iranian cinema gaining international recognition and showcases the diverse talents of Iran’s film industry.
