Iran to create 1m jobs in year to mid-March: Labor minister

Iran has plans to generate one million jobs during the year to March 19, 2024, announced Iranian minister of cooperatives, labor and social welfare.
Solat Mortazavi said that last Iranian year, we had almost the lowest unemployment rate in the last two decades, as the figure decreased by nine percent, 0.2 percent less than the figure for the preceding year, according to mcls.gov.ir.
“With the collaboration of the bodies related to the field of employment and the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology, the necessary arrangements have been made for the employment of graduates so that we can fulfill the order of President Ebrahim Raeisi in the field of employment.”
The president is seriously pursuing the issue of employment, as he has ordered that a meeting of the Supreme Council of Employment be held every month, the minister emphasized.
Mortazavi announced the launch of two systems in the field of employment, saying, “Employers can register their requests for employees in the ‘Job Search System,’ and job seekers are introduced to employment centers from provincial offices.”
