India has already announced the supply of 20,000 tons of wheat assistance to Afghanistan in partnership with the UN World Food Program through Chabahar port.
Internet available to 90% of Iran’s rural population
IRNA – An official in Iran’s Ministry of Information and Communications (ICT) said that around 90% of the Iranian population living in villages with over 20 households has access to the internet.
Iraj Rouhi, the director of ICT’s Universal Services Obligation Department, said on Saturday that internet penetration rate for Iran’s rural population had increased by nine percent since the current administration came to office in August 2020.
He added that the development of information technology in Iran’s rural areas is a priority for his ministry, adding that the country seeks to provide high-quality internet on a large scale for people living in the countryside.
TSE index down 845 points
TSETMC – TEDPIX, the main index of the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE), lost 845 points to settle at 1,816,739 on Saturday.
Over 14.879 billion securities worth 66.792 trillion rials (about $155.33 billion) were traded at the TSE.
TSE is one of the four Iranian stock exchanges, and the most important one. The other three are Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX), and Iran’s over-the-counter (OTC) market, known as Iran Fara Bourse (IFB).
