Iranians mark National Day of Fighting Global Arrogance
Iranians from all walks of life took to the streets in cities across the country on Wednesday to mark National Day of Fighting Global Arrogance.
In the Iranian calendar, 13 Aban is designated as the National Day of Fight against Global Arrogance. The date commemorates the 1979 takeover of the US Embassy by Iranian students following the Islamic Revolution.
Waving Iran’s flags and holding pictures of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the demonstrators shout slogans against the United States and Israel, which have launched an aggression against Iran since February.
The participants also set fire to US and Israel’s flags and carried placards reading “Kill Trump”.
They also issued a final resolution demanding retribution for the martyred Leader, the updating of the US-Israeli target bank, and an honorable withdrawal from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). A statement by organizers condemned the criminal acts of Washington and Tel Aviv, emphasizing the absolute necessity of seeking justice for Ayatollah Khamenei, and the 168 martyred students in the southern city of Minab.
The resolution stressed the need for updating the enemy’s target bank in preparation for any fresh war of aggression to ensure that all US-Israeli assets remain within the crosshairs of Iran’s armed forces. In a major geopolitical stance, the resolution demanded that Iranian officials initiate an “honorable withdrawal” from the NPT in response to the broken promises and threats of hegemonic powers. Furthermore, the participants pledged unwavering allegiance to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, and called on the Armed Forces to maintain maximum deterrence, preparing for an “immediate, impactful response without geographic limitations.”
The statement concluded by reaffirming Iran’s steadfast support for the Axis of Resistance across Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq, stressing that the “unity of fronts” is the decisive factor in shaping the new security order in West Asia. The nationwide rallies were held in over 900 locations across the country under the slogan “Covenant with Martyrs, Battle against Arrogance.”
