Iranian short film ‘Pasta Alfredo’ heads to Uruguay’s Fenacies Festival after Albanian award
Iranian short film ‘Pasta Alfredo,’ written and directed by Leila Noei, will head to the 16th Fenacies Festival in Uruguay as the only Iranian short film in the event, continuing its international festival run.
The film, produced by Raham Rasouli, will compete alongside 43 other entries in the Student Competition at the festival, which will be held in Montevideo from September 7 to 13, according to a report carried by Mehr News Agency on Wednesday.
The latest selection follows on from the film’s success at the 13th Dea Open Air Festival in Albania, where it won the award for Best Student Short Film.
‘Pasta Alfredo’ has also been screened at the 21st Dieciminuti Film Festival in Italy, the 23rd CortiSonanti Film Festival in Italy, the 33rd St. Anna International Film Festival in Russia and the competition section of the 14th FerFILM Festival in Kosovo.
The cast includes Mohana Seyedi, Saeed Nejati, Sima Khan-Vakili, Barbod Farshidzadeh and Mohammadreza Ariansadr.
The film tells the story of Niloufar, a 14-year-old girl who tries to bring a moment of warmth to her home’s cold atmosphere by organizing a birthday party for her cat and cooking pasta.
