Leader hails Hezbollah’s ‘steadfastness’ as ‘inspiring message’ to free nations
In response to a letter from Hezbollah reaffirming its allegiance, the Leader hailed the group for standing "like an unyielding rock" against what he described as the "savage aggression" of Israel and its supporters, Press TV reported.
According to a statement released by the Leader's office, Hezbollah's resilience has become "an inspiring message for the free nations of the world in their quest for liberation from the oppression and tyranny of Global Arrogance and its proxies."
The Leader praised Hezbollah's commanders and fighters for their "endurance and perseverance" in defending the principles of the Islamic Resistance, saying their message reflected a firm belief in the promises of the Holy Qur’an and the legacy of Imam Khomeini and the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
He said growing international frustration with the United States and the Israeli regime had left "no path forward except jihad and resistance," expressing confidence that steadfastness on this path would ultimately bring "the promised divine victory."
Ayatollah Khamenei also commended the Lebanese people, particularly residents of the country's south, saying their patience, sacrifice and support had played a decisive role in sustaining the Resistance.
The Leader reiterated that the Islamic Republic considers defending Hezbollah fighters "its strategic mandate."
Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei said, has designated the preservation of Lebanon's territorial integrity and the absolute and unconditional end to Israeli aggression as the primary condition for any agreement aimed at ending the imposed war by the United States and the Zionist regime.
The Leader also paid tribute to Hezbollah's martyrs, including former Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, saying they had transformed the movement "from a sapling into a mighty tree" and brought honor to Lebanon throughout the Islamic world.
Ayatollah Khamenei prayed for Hezbollah's fighters, veterans, the displaced and the families of the martyrs, expressing hope that they would ultimately achieve victory.
The Leader's message was issued in response to an earlier pledge-of-allegiance letter written by Hezbollah fighters, who vowed to remain loyal to Ayatollah Khamenei and continue the path of the late Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
