Iran is holding a cinematic event in Paris in 2026 to introduce modern experiences and emerging Iranian talents to French audiences.
According to Iran Cinema Museum’s news portal, the event, titled “Days of Iran’s Cinema”, is open for enrolment from January 6 to 30.
Under the theme “from the old Silk Road to screens in Paris; Iranian narrative, French outlook”, the event will run from March to December 2026.
Six long films will be selected for screening during the event, followed by Q & A sessions with their creators in cooperation with Iran-France Center (CFI) and the Silk Road Cinema Club.
The selection committee includes Jean-Claude Voisin, an expert on Iran’s history, archeologist, and former head of French Institute in Tehran, along with Iranian directors Monir Qeidi and Hossein Namazi.
