‘Derno’ to compete at Buenos Aires festival
Iranian filmmaker Hadi Mahdavi's latest feature, ‘Derno,’ will compete in the official selection of the 3rd Province of Buenos Aires International Film Festival (FICPBA), running from October 1 to 10 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The film, produced by Mojtaba Golparian, marks Mahdavi's third international festival appearance, inn.ir reported.
‘Derno’ is a poetic exploration of life and death, blurring the lines between reality and imagination. The narrative unfolds through a series of dreamlike sequences, capturing the essence of human existence. Mahdavi's direction is complemented by a cast that includes Mohammad Zarei, Razieh Taheri, Rouhollah Barzegar, and Anoush Homayouni.
International distribution is managed by DreamLab Films, based in France and led by Nasrin Mirshab.
