Asian Belt Wrestling Alysh Championships:
Iranian girls crowned classic champions
Iranian women’s team collected six medals – including triple golds – to win the senior classic title at the Asian Belt Wrestling Alysh Championships in New Delhi, India.
Roqayeh Mahmoudabadi (65kg), Mobina Mirzapour (70kg), and Sahar Ghanizadeh (75kg) walked away with the ultimate prize of their respective weight classes, while Marzieh Khandan (55kg), and Fatemeh Fattahi (60kg) settled for a couple of silver medals.
Ezzat Qorbani-Sani (+75kg) added a bronze medal to the medal haul as the Iranian girls stood atop the team table with 130 points.
Kazakhstan finished runner-up to Iran with 110 points, with Kyrgyzstan (105) and India (75) in the following spots.
