Six Iranian children win honors at Bulgaria’s Nova Zagora art exhibition
Six young Iranian artists picked up “diplomas of honor” at Bulgaria’s 26th International Youth Art Exhibition in Nova Zagora, organizers said on Saturday.
The event, held annually in the Bulgarian art hub of Nova Zagora, drew in more than 3,000 entries from 33 countries in 2024, IRNA reported.
Fifteen members of Iran’s Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, known as Kanoon, sent in their works under the “free theme” category.
The awardees-aged between nine and fifteen-hail from diverse Iranian provinces. Zahra Mozaffari, 9, from Bushehr; Amirsam Hassani, 10, from Zanjan; Parnaz Goudarzi, 10, from Kermanshah; Bahar Nassiriani, 10, and Parnian Lolo, 11, from Khuzestan; and Nourai Mokammeli, 15, from Golestan, were all named as recipients.
The Nova Zagora exhibition is widely regarded as a “center for artists from different countries” and has become a platform for young talent to shine on the world stage. According to the organizers, the contest aims to “bring together” creative youth and encourage “unique artistic expression.”
Iran’s Kanoon has a long track record of nurturing young artists. Its members have repeatedly made their mark at international competitions, reflecting the country’s growing reputation in the visual arts.
