2025 Asia Cup:
Iranian archer Bybordi wins compound bronze
Iranian archer Geesa Bybordi won a bronze medal at the 2025 Asia Cup – also serving as the World Ranking Tournament, Stage I – in Bangkok, Thailand, on Saturday.
The Iranian girl bounced back from a last-four setback (142-139) against South Korean Han Seung-yeon to edge out Indian Chikitha Taniparthi 144-143 for a third-spot finish in the women’s compound event.
The bronze medal saw the Iranian qualify for the 2025 World Games – starting August 7 in Chengdu, China.
Han, meanwhile, went on to defeat Kazakhstan’s Roxana Yunussova 145-142 in the final showpiece.
