The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was inked by Majid Shah Hosseini, Head of the Iranian Academy of Arts, and Zhou Qingfu, President of the National Academy of Arts of China, in Beijing, IRNA wrote.
The agreement aims to build on the existing ties between the two countries and take their artistic collaboration to the next level. The MoU brings together various aspects of artistic cooperation, including policy-making, artistic training, and criticism, as well as the promotion of Iranian, Islamic, and Chinese art.
Under the agreement, the two countries will work together to translate the works of art scholars, introduce top cinema works, and showcase the national music of both countries. The MoU also provides for the exhibition of visual arts works by prominent artists from both nations.
Shah Hosseini also attended the 2nd Liangzhu Forum held from November 25 to 27, themed “exchanges and mutual learning for a new model of human progress”, which brought together representatives from 63 countries.
He also met with the Chinese Minister of Culture and visited the Chinese Academy of Arts and cultural institutions in China.
