He also suggested exchanging experiences and conducting joint research with other countries.
Amir-Ali Hamidieh, head of the stem cell transplant ward, emphasized the impact of sanctions on Iran’s health sector, particularly on children’s access to healthcare. He welcomed UNICEF’s support, stating that the visit was planned to address the challenges faced by children seeking treatment at the CMC.
He underscored the need to keep pace with global advancements in cell and gene therapy technologies and equipment.
