Qorbani’s concerts get kudos in Canada

IRNA – Iran’s traditional vocalist Alireza Qorbani began his international tour concerts in Calgary, Canada, on November 3.
The Iranian music performances were met with a remarkable reception from the enthusiastic audience. On November 5, Qorbani continued his tour in Vancouver, B.C., where once again, his music captivated the Canadian audience.
According to IRNA, following several performances in different Canadian cities, the tour is set to journey through various European cities, the details of which will be announced in due course.
In the upcoming concerts, Qorbani will grace the stage in Toronto on November 10, and Montreal on November 11, further attracting his fans with his traditional performances.
The artistic management of these concerts is in the capable hands of Hesam Naseri.
During his recent concert in Vancouver, B.C., Qorbani paid a heartfelt tribute to the late traditional singer Akbar Golpayegani, known as Golpa, who died on November 4.

Iran’s actress Elham Shakib dies at 45

IRNA – Iranian actress Elham Shakib, renowned for her performances in theater and cinema, died at the age of 45 after a battle with illness.
Shakib made a significant mark in Iranian cinema and theater, leaving a lasting legacy through her roles in various film productions, including ‘Mini Bus,’ ‘Shatere,’ ‘Strawberry Dessert,’ ‘Examination Day,’ and ‘Interrogation in Tehran Café.’
Her talent as an actress was further highlighted in her role in the television series ‘Khatoon.’
Born in 1978, Shakib held a bachelor’s degree in theater with a specialization in stage design. While her acting career was her primary focus, she also tried directing, showcasing her talents by directing productions like ‘La malattia della famiglia M’.
In the world of theater, Shakib collaborated with great directors such as Ali Rafiei and the late Atila Pesyani. Her theatrical repertoire included performances in various plays like ‘The Hoopoe Bride.’
