SNSC authorizes Iranian women to attend football matches
Head of the Iranian Football Federation Mehdi Taj said that Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) has made a decision to let women watch football matches in person by attending stadiums.
“It’s not about whether or not they can enter the stadiums now,” Taj said on Friday, according to IRNA.
He added that a working group responsible for the implementation of the project has been appointed.
Iran’s Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Sports and Youth Policy, football federation, and the two information institutions of the country are in the process of developing a plan for implementing the job, Taj stated.
He noted that some Iranian stadiums are not currently equipped with necessary facilities such as separate bathrooms for accommodating women, concluding that some stadiums may be prepared sooner than others.
