Seven Iranians released from Qatar prisons

PRESS TV  – Iran’s ambassador to Doha announced the release of seven Iranians from prisons in Qatar and their return to the country.
Among those released were six people who had been arrested for illegally but not deliberately entering Qatari waters. They had been sentenced to one-year imprisonment, but the ruling was suspended.
Recently, Iran’s Foreign Minister paid a visit to Doha, where he discussed with Qatari officials a range of issues, among them the situation of Iranian citizens held behind bars in Qatar.

Russian fleet docks at Iran’s Anzali port

MEHR – A Russian naval missile destroyer, dubbed ‘Makhachkala,’ docked at Iran’s northern port city of Bandar Anzali on Tuesday morning as part of programs intended to boost military cooperation between the two countries.
Holding a meeting with the commander of Iran’s Northern Fleet, visiting the free trade zone of Anzali, holding sports competitions, and conducting PASSEX exercises are among the plans of this visit.

Iran’s police chief in Russia to sign security deal


Iran’s police chief Ahmadreza Radan arrived in Moscow on Tuesday to hold talks with Russian police officials and sign an agreement on security and police cooperation between Tehran and Moscow.
During the trip, a memorandum of cooperation will be signed between the police forces of the two countries in their joint fight against terrorism, human trafficking, and drugs as well as in scientific and research fields.
