Mohammadreza Ziaei had clinched a first medal for Iran on the first day of the 20th edition of the competition as he registered a best throw of 55.44m for the men’s discus throw bronze.
India’s Bhartpreet Singh (55.66m) and Sayfullaev Dunyozod (55.58m) of Uzbekistan won the gold and silver medals respectively.
