Iran slams European Parliament for hosting terrorists

PRESS TV – The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry lashed out at the European Parliament (EP) for hosting the ringleader of the anti-Iran terrorist cult of the Mujahedeen Khalq Organization (MKO), which has murdered over 17,000 Iranian citizens.
Nasser Kanaani said the move is contrary to the human rights slogans of the EP.
On May 24, the MKO’s infamous ringleader Maryam Rajavi addressed a gathering in the European Parliament to discuss the foreign-backed riots in Iran and the responsibilities of the European Union.

Education Ministry gets new chief

IFP – Reza Morad-Sahraei becomes Iran’s new education minister after securing a vote of confidence from Parliament.
During a parliamentary session on Tuesday, Morad-Sahraei, who has been serving as the caretaker of the Ministry of Education since March, presented his agenda and plans to the lawmakers.
At the session, 167 lawmakers voted in favor of the proposed minister and 86 against. Fourteen legislators abstained.

Iraqi interior minister to visit Tehran this week

IRNA – Iraq’s Interior Minister Abdul Amir al-Shammari is set to visit Iran this week.
Deputy Iranian Interior Minister Majid Mir-Ahmadi made the announcement on Monday, without specifying the exact time of the visit.
Al-Shammari and his Iranian counterpart will discuss, among other things, the preparation for commemorating Arbaeen.
