Rising seas threaten millions of Americans this century
SCIENCE ALERT – A new report has warned that millions of Americans living along the coast face being cut off from the mainland by rising sea levels this century.

They also suggest that policymakers should focus on developing strategies for managed retreat, which could involve relocating people and infrastructure away from areas at risk.
Bell-ringer shortage as King Charles’s coronation looms

The demand for experienced bell-ringers has increased due to the significant number of bells in Westminster Abbey, where the coronation will take place.
The Central Council of Church Bell Ringers has said that it is struggling to find enough qualified ringers to fill the 30 spots needed for the ceremony. This shortage is not a new problem, as the number of bell-ringers in the UK has been decreasing for years. However, the council is hopeful that they will be able to train enough new ringers in time for the coronation.
