Moscow talks paves way for FMs meeting
The deputy foreign ministers of Russia, Türkiye, Iran, and Syria held a meeting in the Russian capital Moscow to discuss the resumption of ties between Ankara and Damascus.
The parties discussed the issues related to the preparation of the upcoming meeting between the foreign ministers of the four countries.
In these meetings, each country expressed its positions and views clearly and explicitly, and the parties agreed to continue their consultations.
The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported on Tuesday that a Syrian delegation headed by Ayman Susan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, attends the quadrilateral meeting, which will focus on the necessity of ending Türkiye’s illegal presence in Syria, the need for stopping intervention in internal affairs of the Arab country as well as the fight against all sorts of terrorism.
The Syrian delegation arrived in Moscow on Monday and held talks with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov and Iranian Foreign Minister's Senior Advisor for Special Political Affairs Ali Asghar Khaji.
