Mehdi Safari added that the innovation houses in the target countries act as centers for dispatching Iranian products to the neighboring states, according to IRNA.
“We endeavor to cooperate with the knowledge-based enterprises and support them beyond the borders,” the official stressed.
Safari went on to say that the Iranian Foreign Ministry has launched a dedicated chapter for knowledge-based enterprises in the continuation of its public diplomacy efforts.
“Iranian Foreign Ministry, with the help of the Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-based Economy is seeking to establish and develop innovation houses in order to lay the groundwork for the domestic innovative products to have an active presence in the export markets,” the official announced.
Moreover, Safari underlined the importance of familiarizing Iranian knowledge-based companies more with international markets.
All economic Iranian envoys in foreign countries are tasked with cooperating with these companies and supporting them in the target countries, he noted.
Iranian innovation houses have already been launched in China, Syria, Russia, Türkiye, and Kenya, facilitating the export of products made by knowledge-based enterprises.
Referring to the recently-held meeting with the participation of D-8 countries at Pardis Technology Park in northeastern Tehran, Safari stated that such meetings will help with the exchange of technology between countries.
The Developing Eight (D-8) members include Iran, Türkiye, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Egypt, and Nigeria.
